Hello, dear people!
Since this is the homepage, I guess there should be some kind of introduction. So, I’m thinking… Let’s start with January 20th, 2026. In cosmology, they’d call this the period “before the Big Bang.” Nothing exists yet, but there’s an idea. A completely random idea.
In my head, this portal is being born. How? I’ll tell you. It started quite inconspicuously. My school-aged child comes to me with a math homework. Some kind of competition, they say. I didn’t really want to pay attention—I mean, who cares about thermodynamic equations… but apparently, the kid is stuck. So, I think about it for 10 minutes, 20 minutes, 30 minutes… and nothing. Then comes the thirty-first minute, and I feed my daughter’s homework to Artificial Intelligence. Let’s say a second, maybe two. The result is on the screen.
I start to realize what I’m dealing with. In this spirit, a few more days and a few more math problems pass. Some I solve, some I don’t. But every time, I’m amazed by the performance of AI. Gradually, I begin to get acquainted with this miracle… I must first say that me and computers aren’t exactly best friends. Just a few days ago, I knew absolutely nothing about creating websites. You can probably guess who’s helping me…
So, to wrap this up, it’s currently January 29th, 2026, and I realize that we are in a time where I—an unsuspecting human—am capable of sending a message (even if it’s just about fishing) to practically the whole world. This wasn’t possible ten, a hundred, a thousand, or even a hundred thousand years ago. Throughout all those eras, nothing like this was possible.
It’s February 1st, 2026. It’s starting! The first steps of creation. You’ve probably noticed by now that I catch fish. But let me tell you how. Do you know what Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs is? Well, you’ll have to find that out for yourselves… Simply put, some people catch fish just to satisfy their basic needs—to eat, pee, and poop. Those are the lowest needs; they must be met, but I’m not a beaver, an ant, or a salmon. That’s enough for them. I am—at least it seems so to me sometimes—a Homo sapiens, and my actions aim for different results. Mr. Abraham Harold Maslow would say I’m aiming for the highest tier of his pyramid: the tier of self-actualization.
What follows from this? I don’t use fishing to gather energy or building material for the cells in my body. On the contrary, I try to return every fish to the water as gently and quickly as possible. What’s the byproduct of this approach? Thousands of photos and notebooks full of notes. That is what I take away from the water. Now is the right moment in history to share it with you.
Of course, it wasn’t always like this. Thirty years ago, we ate everything we caught, but the world is changing and I’m changing too. Today, as I write this intro, is February 17th, 2026. I’ve become a bit more familiar with working on the website, and I have new findings. I imagined it would be simpler. Thirteen language versions is quite a lot. On average, it takes 15 hours to translate and publish one post. Doesn’t matter, I’m fighting. You fight too—with life.
Phew, I really “sweated” this one out… I guess that’s enough for a start, after all, I’m no writer. And by the way, nobody helped me with this text, not even the AI (with the translation, yes, obviously).
Thanks for reading to the end. I hope it makes sense. Now, I’m going to go give myself a medal for bravery…
